I'm trapped behind the doors

of my mind, surrounded by th-

oughts which have left me

confined. Time is passing

rapidly without escape. I'm

locked in chains like I'm an

enemy of the state.

At first, I thought this was

just a stage - then all of

a sudden, i was lost in the

maze. My way out? I see

no trace, I just circle within

the same phase.

If only I could see my way

clear. But, my vision is

clouded by the fear, causing

me to spiral deeper into the

abyss. I'm hoping this tale

has a twist.

I wish this season would

expire. The tyres of my soul

are on fire. I can no longer

move - I'm choking on the

fumes of despair, waiting

for an answered prayer.

Verse of the poem:

2 Timothy 1

7: For God has not given

us a spirit of fear, but of

power and of love and of

a sound mind.

Every day i climb the same

mountain. Lord, allow me to rec-

ognise your never-ending mercy

which endures like a fountain.

I long to be sustained in righteous-

ness. But by far, I always miss the

mark. It's like a task I can never

accomplish.

When You said “it was finished,”

on the Cross, through repentance,

our sins were extinguished,

and we entered a new

beginning.

Don't allow us to be defined by

our flaws nor conditioned by

our inhibitions. Refine us each

day; so we can reflect Christ in

everything we do.

Verse of the poem:

Psalms 121

1: I look up toward the mountains. Where can I find help?

2: My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

3: He will not let you fall. Your guardian will not fall asleep.

4: Indeed, the Guardian of Israel never rests or sleeps.

5: The Lord is your guardian. The Lord is the shade over your right hand.

6: The sun will not beat down on you during the day, nor will the moon at

night.

7: The Lord guards you from every evil. He guards your life.

8: The Lord guards you as you come and go, now and forever.

If you neglect truth,

you become tethered

to an inferior concept,

with effort to find reason

to validate your intellect.

You project your mind on

others to find affirmation

but you remain confined

behind a supposition,

entering through the gate

of fiction; leading to

increasing confusion and

delusion, until you become

entangled by obscurity

and contaminated by

Impurity. You no longer see

clearly. Your mind can't

discern or learn to escape

until you abandon the path

of independent reasoning.
