Furnace of affliction

As you open the book of my life and expose my dreams, the pressure that refined this poet in the fire will be revealed. The pain—the sweat—and the tears will echo through the seasons endured. There’s no applause in the process, just test after test, a long stretch in the valley where life is asking, “How much can you bench press, and still keep the faith?” Every crooked phase where failure darkens the chapter is building character—a spiritual muscle developed in the furnace of affliction.
