In the depths of darkness, I found light. This light shined brightly into the night—into the deepest parts of my soul. As I became exposed to truth, I held tightly to Your word.

Every verse was like looking at the sun; I couldn’t see, I couldn’t grasp the meaning. Yet I found peace, a capacity to move forward.

As I continued to read—truth began to unwind, and I could understand. And then it hit me—the primary reason for reading wasn’t for clarity; it was to increase my spiritual nature—to be aligned with your will—and in time, wisdom would be instilled.

As the seasons darkened and the noise of the world increased, I was driven closer to You. When the storm intensified and things began to sour, I learned the thorn in my flesh was favour—as I returned to the throne of grace. A safe place where I could go deeper, and grow more in the likeness of Jesus.

Lord, penetrate the hearts of man that they may receive you and be made alive by spirit. Amen
